Holy cow this is SO true! I never understood that subconscious aversion to taking showers. You hit the nail on the head. When manic, I find showers to be a worthless excuse of my time. When depressed, I was more inclined to conver up than shed all my clothes and “cleanse” myself when I didn’t feel like being cleansed…Great post!

However, it is the ultimate responsibility of the employee to be aware of his meal choices and ingredients in them. I always bring my own food to work adn when I travel. You just can’t be sure of food that others make. Inconvenient, yes. But it’s worth the peace of mind.

OS/2 / eComStation driver development is spotty, responding mainly to broad business needs. Unfortunately the most up-to-date Adobe Flash is released only for eComStation in an attempt by Serenity to force people to buy eComStation and replace the old OS/2. Myself, I don’t much care, I have a Flash blocker running and seldom feel the need. If I do want Flash, I just use the customer support machine which runs Windows.

This is really tasty. I just discovered this blog over the weekend, and this is the first recipe I've made from it. (After bookmarking about 50!) Apparently, my pot cooks really hot – I put it on Low and allowed 7 hours for cooking. About 4 hours into it I checked it out and discovered it was already way past done! Yikes! The chicken still had an excellent flavor, but it was a little dry from the overcook so I added a can of pineapple chunks. Now that I've got about 50 recipes and a pot that's too hot, tomorrow I'll be buying a new pot! Thanks for the awesome blog!

And Bottega Louie was under constructions then. They had part of their package that Bottega Louie was going to deliver to all the units upstairs. I wonder if they are going to do that again?

Poetry cured a habit I’d picked up in my teens of speed reading (picked up for now good reason – or any reason at all).You can’t speed read poetry. It was a gift.And no, I don’t/can’t “turn off” when I’m reading. I enjoy seeing the atchitecture under a story and marvel at the ability of the author of a well-told story. As they say in the US, it’s a “two-for”. I get a good story and maybe learn something of storytelling at the same time.So, agreed. Speed reading is cheating – you’re cheating yourself.

When Moliere’s play Tartuffe, one of the funniest pieces of satire I’ve ever seen, hit the French stage the religious community came unglued. (Tartuffe was a scoundrel posing as a ‘religious’ and in the process laid bare the hypocracy of the type.)The New Yorker cartoon was bad satire because it wasn’t offensive enough, and finally it needed ‘explaining’ by its creator which is a sure sign that it failed the test of good satire.

Here's a question: How come for a couple sites I released had pages that had the noindex tag but were still craweled and listed in the index? (The pages had the noindex tag BEFORE they were ever crawled)I also had the pages robots.txt'ed out. About a month after the first page of the site was crawled they disappeared from the site search…Don't those meta tags do what they are supposed to do?

My mom saved a lot of my baby stuff, too, and when I had my daughter she gave me all of it. Some I had to give away; it was just too outdated. From what I've read, health care will be the absolute growth industry for the next several decades. I agree that's what you've read. But I suspect the hype is simply a result of looking at the present and assuming it will continue into the future. Health care consumes wealth – it does not create it – unlike manufacturing or farming. If the government's voracious appetite for our already-earned wealth doesn't decrease, we simply won't have the money to pay for all the predicted new health care workers.And if we do, someone else will lose out somewhere.

I think a small curated wardrobe is the way to go. I spent a couple years with a large varied wardrobe and did the binge/purge wardrobe thing for far too long. I've learned what I like through that and feel like I'm finally cultivating the right pieces. I like following bloggers who are doing the same thing. It feels good knowing I'm not the only person doing it and sometimes the right pairing can spark new ideas for my own closet.

I moved to Kansas City a few years ago and met up with Wes and his team to discuss buying a home. I've changed my password, but I wish I could identify the source of this malware, even though the mal-direct leads nowhere, these things are viral and continue working long after their original purpose has been stopped. I dont blame Google, but I do think the industry itself needs to come up with better tools for detencting and eliminating these threats as they arrive.
