Please define &#8small228221; countries. You can take a look at the countries in the UE and the countries waiting to join in the near future…We, Scottish and Catalan are UE citizens, already. Secession is not in the treaties so will be considered as an exceptional situation (like the German reunification ). This is all about political negotiation. If both parties, UE and the new state are interested, there will be no problem.I personally think that UE is more interested in having Catalonia and Scotland in the UE than these countries. I see a few more economic advantages outside UE.
